Note new date and place!

The October monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, October 21 (not October 7).

Christian Bedard, Research Director and Licensing Manager at Weeks Roses, will speak, so mark your calendars. The program will be a must-see.

Christian is the recipient of the American Rose Society’s up & coming rosarians award, ARS Rising Stars, for outstanding achievement in the promotion of the culture and appreciation of the rose. Chick here to read the article from AMERICAN ROSE, January/February 2018.

The meeting will be held at the Frist Lecture Hall at Belmont University, 1515 Wedgewood Ave, Nashville, TN 37212, just off Wedgewood Avenue. The Frist Lecture Hall is in the Gordon E. Inman Center, which is Building #6 on the Belmont campus map.

Ron Daniels will open his garden from 10:00AM – 3:00PM, on Saturday, October 13, at 1000 Gadwall Circle, Hendersonville, TN 37075.

Ron’s garden produces many Rose Show winners, including King of the Show at the 2018 Wilson County Fair. Ron’s garden has been featured on Talk of the Town.

The Nashville Rose Society 2018 Rose Show will be held on Saturday, September 22 (1 pm-4:30 pm), and Sunday, September 23 (11 am-4:30 pm). The Show will be held at the Belmont University Gabhart Student Center, 2002 Belmont Blvd., Nashville, Tennessee.

“Basics of Growing Roses” seminars will be held on Saturday and on Sunday at 2:00 pm. The seminar on Saturday will be presented by Ron Daniels, ARS Consulting Rosarian. Sunday’s seminar will be presented by Marty Reich, ARS Master Rosarian. The seminars are free to the public.

Parking is free in the Curb Garage, which is Building #27 off of Bernard Ave. Click here for a map of the Belmont Campus.

The Nashville Rose Society Grand Prix will be held in Botanic Hall in the Visitor Center at Cheekwood. The Grand Prix is an in-house rose show and a perfect opportunity for new members to learn how to exhibit roses. Start now to get your roses ready to produce award-winning blooms by September. Keep up your maintenance schedule – water, feed and spray! Bring your roses to the meeting!

Mona will discuss how the Farm uses Tower Gardens^®, an eco-friendly vertical aeroponic growing system that produces fresh vegetables year-round using less than 10% of the water and space of traditional gardens.
